DP Vehicles are very honoured to be able to have this rare Lotus Exige LF1 for sale. With only 81 units made worldwide, and only 30 RHD variants, this is a very special car. Lotus only made 81 cars to celebrate the marque's 81 F1 wins between 1960 and 2013. Each car has a carbon fibre build plate, on the plate is the victory number, circuit, and grand prix of which this very car is celebrating. This car is celebrating victory number 19 out of 81. The race was the East London circuit in South Africa, on the 1st of January 1965 with British driver Jim Clark behind the wheel dominating the whole race and breaking the 100mph barrier.

This car has only had one owner from new. The Director of DP Vehicles bought it as an investment piece and has looked after the car extremely well. The car has been sat underneath the official Lotus LF1 car cover and has had weekly cleans to assure the car stays in superb condition. This particular car has never stepped foot on a race track and has never seen a spot of rain.

The black and gold theme of the car mimics the famous Gold Leaf colours of some of Lotus' most iconic Formula 1 years, and Lotus added red detailing on to the car to match the current Lotus F1 colours.

The car is based on the Exige S, meaning it has the 3.5-litre supercharged V6 engine producing 345bhp, with the car only weighing 1176kg, it shifts to 60mph in 3.8 seconds and a max speed of 170mph. Supercar figures!

Each LF1 made came with a presentation gift box including a 1:18 scale Romain Grosjean replica racing helmet as he was the driver for the Formula 1 team when the car was released. Most of these were sold after the car was purchased, our car however has the full presentation box that comes with the car, alongside two original 1965 F1 magazines in amazing condition which really adds to the pedigree of the car.

Although the car is track focused and is stripped out as much as possible, the LF1 does have heated seats, radio, air conditioning, exhaust valve open/close button, electric windows, two-piece performance brake disks, Pirelli tires, four mode Dynamic Performance System.
